Privacy Notice

PromptPro is currently in beta. Features and data practices may change, and we will update this notice when they do.
This notice explains what personal data PromptPro (“we”, “us”, “PromptPro”) collects when you use prompt-pro.ai (the “Site”), why we collect it, and what rights you have.
The short version
- The prompts you build stay in your browser. We do not send your prompt content to our servers.
- Analytics are off until you say yes. We only collect usage analytics (which tabs and options you use) if you accept analytics cookies. Nothing is tracked before then.
- We only collect your email address and any feedback you type if you choose to give them to us.
- We do not sell your personal data.
1. What we collect
Information you choose to give us
- Email address: if you submit it through the “notify me / tips” box or the optional follow-up field in the feedback form.
- Feedback: your star rating, written comments, the complexity/specificity ratings, and any feature suggestions you type into the feedback form.
Information collected automatically (usage analytics)
Only if you accept analytics cookies, we use a third party provider to understand how the Site is used. If you decline, none of the following is collected. When enabled, this includes:
- pages viewed and which prompt tabs you open;
- which options and switches you select (for example output format, depth, or whether the “avoid AI-speak” switch is on), recorded as the selected setting, not as free text;
- counts and metadata about prompts generated and copied (for example character counts and which fields were filled, not the text you typed);
- your device and browser type, and an approximate location derived from your IP address;
- timestamps and similar technical event data.
Prompt content
The text you type into prompt fields, plus your prompt history and preferences, are stored locally in your browser (using local storage) so the Site works across visits. This content is not transmitted to us.
2. Cookies and local storage
We use:
- Local storage to remember your preferences, prompt history and persona on your device.
- PostHog cookies / identifiers to measure usage, set only after you accept analytics cookies. You can decline them in the cookie banner, withdraw later, and clear them via your browser or the “Start fresh” option on the Site.
3. How we use your data
- To operate and improve PromptPro and understand which features are useful.
- To respond to feedback you send us.
- To send you product tips and updates, only if you gave us your email for that purpose. You can opt out at any time.
4. Legal bases (UK / EU GDPR)
Where UK or EU data protection law applies, we rely on:
- Consent: for setting analytics cookies and for sending you email tips/updates. You can withdraw consent at any time, including by declining or clearing cookies.
- Legitimate interests: for operating and securing the Site and responding to feedback you choose to send us, balanced against your rights. You can object (see section 8).
5. Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal data. We share it with service providers who process it on our behalf:
- PostHog: product analytics (data hosted in the EU).
- Google: we receive feedback and email submissions through a Google Apps Script / Google Sheets backend, and we load fonts from Google Fonts (which discloses your IP address to Google).
6. International transfers
Some providers may process data outside the UK. Where this happens, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement, EU Standard Contractual Clauses, or equivalent.
7. How long we keep it
- Email and feedback: until you ask us to delete it, or you unsubscribe.
- Analytics: retained by our analytics provider in line with their standard retention period.
- Local browser data: stays on your device until you clear it or use “Start fresh”.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to processing of your personal data, to data portability, and to withdraw consent. To exercise these, contact us at hello@prompt-pro.ai.
If you are in the UK and are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).
9. Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please do not paste confidential or sensitive information into PromptPro or any AI tool.
10. Children
PromptPro is not directed at children and is intended for users aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
11. Changes to this notice
We may update this notice from time to time. We will post the new version here and update the “Last updated” date.
